2008 CONDITIONS

1.       All events will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the MA Racing Comm., the USTA & Plainridge Racecourse.

2.       The nomination fee must accompany all nominations (U.S. funds only). All nominating fees to be added to the final.

3.       All races at one mile – one dash, with post positions to be drawn by lot. Purse distribution: 50%,25%,12%,8%,and 5%.

4.       Declarations close 9:00 a.m. according to the current Draw Schedule listed on the Weekly Condition sheet, with six (6) separate betting interests required to declare or it may be cancelled.

5.       Owners are limited to a maximum of two (2) horses in the final and will be coupled as an entry.

6.       If there is more than one division of the preliminary leg, each division may race for 75% of the advertised purse. Plainridge Racecourse reserves the right to race one or more divisions on the following race day.

7.       Horses with the highest point earnings in preliminary legs will compete in the finals. Points will be as follows: 1st- 50;2nd – 25;3rd -12;4th -8;5th -5;6th -4;7th -3; 8th-  2;9th through 12th –1 .  These finals will be limited to the nine (9) horses with the highest point totals.  In the event that one of the highest point earners fails to declare, the next highest point earners will be eligible to the final.  In the event of starters eligible to the final with equal points, the starter with the higher money earnings will draw in. If the money earnings are equal than they shall be drawn by lot.

8.       Horses for the final are not automatically eligible and must be declared in by 9:00 a.m. according to the current Draw Schedule listed on the Weekly Condition Sheet.

9.       Two (2) also eligibles will be drawn for the final of each series and these also eligibles will be selected in the same manner as the eligible horses (by points earned in preliminary legs).

10.   All events must have at least eighteen (18) eligible nominations or the event may be cancelled.

11.   Those nominating horses to these events are responsible for eligibility.  No refunds will be made for ineligible horses.

12.   Should less than six (6) betting interests declare for the final, nomination monies paid in full will be divided equally among those eligibles that declare for the final.

13.   Starters for all legs and finals must meet the existing qualifying standards. (No Refunds)

14.   Plainridge Racecourse reserves the right to reject any entry and return the nomination fee, declare off any event not filling satisfactorily and place entries in their eligible classes if entered incorrectly.

15.   In case of any act of God or cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance, the legs and final may be rescheduled at the discretion of Plainridge Racecourse.
