PLAINRIDGE TO HOST STAN BERGSTEIN PACE

Once again the unofficial title of New England sophomore pacer of the year will be on the line when Plainridge Racecourse hosts the eighth annual Stan Bergstein Pace.

Among the feature events of each season at the Massachusetts track the Stan Bergstein Pace in an open event for 3-year-old pacers. Since Didgeridoo, a standout in the Maine Sire Stake program, won the initial running of the event in 2002, each and every Bergstein champion has been owned by New England connections. Last year's edition was won by May Day Malone, owned by Robert Sumner and Beverly Paganelli of Connecticut.

This year the Stan Bergstein Pace, which honors one of the most distinguished individuals in the sport of harness racing, will begin on Monday July 7^th with $10,000 elimination heats. The $25,000 added final will be contested on Monday July 14th.

The nominating fee for the Stan Bergstein Pace is $100, and nominations will close on June 15. For more information click here.

The "Win Line" Now Accepting Credit Cards For Deposits

The hugely successful Telephone Account Wagering operation at Plainridge aptly named "The Win Line" has just became even better with the availability for patrons to add funds to their wagering accounts by credit or debit cards over the phone.

Patrons simply call the Win Line at 866-946-5463, inform the operator they would like to make a deposit over the phone by credit or debit card and the operator will transfer the patron to a customer service specialist to complete the transaction. The transaction takes a couple of minutes and the account is funded immediately.
